I’ve been putting together a workshop on integrative and natural ways to improve sleep for the local community center. My outline for the workshop was approved with an enthusiastic ‘me encanta!’ (I love it!) – yay! So the next step was to create a digital flyer, primarily for WhatsApp.

I’ve never made one of those before, and frankly, although I’ve used Adobe Express quite a bit to make thumbnails for vids, this seemed maybe more like a Canva project, and frankly, I still am intimidated a bit by Canva – there’s just so much going on in that little app!

In what seems like totally unrelated news, I recently listened to the first Feed Your Wild podcast episode, featuring Susan Lipshutz, the founder of Everyday Medicine Woman, on tapping into your every day medicine. I was really picking up what she was putting down, so I went to go follow her on Insta

She pairs her posts with some incredible artwork, including some amazing pieces by Cosmic Collage, and I am almost embarrassed to admit that I was this days old when I realized that digital collage is a thing. The possibilities are endless, and I am in love with this format, because while I don’t have the metric tons of collage materials I lugged around for decades anymore, I do have a laptop, internet access, and a Photoshop subscription.

Needless to say, nerding right tf out and creating this, my digital flyer AND my very first digital collage was how I spent the remainder of the day.

ZOMG.. it was so awesome to spend a day flexing my creativity – I have missed making art so much.
